Yes, Russian literature. Puts fear to many people's hearts, that phrase does. But to me it conjures some of the best time I have ever spent reading. 'The Brothers Karamazov'. I read this in one of those leather-bound, name-escapes-me editions in college and remember the experience with startling clarity. 'His Master's Voice' by Polish writer Stanislaw Lem. 'Roadside Picnic' by Boris and Arkady Strugatsky. Russian literature offers some of the greatest riches to be found in the reading world.
